Naturopathic
Pregnancy Support
Naturopathic care during pregnancy focuses on supporting your body’s natural adaptations, addressing common pregnancy-related concerns, and helping you feel informed and supported as your pregnancy progresses.
Care is always individualized and designed to work alongside your existing medical care. I regularly collaborate with patients who are under the care of OB/GYNs or midwives, supporting prenatal health in a complementary role.
This may be helpful if you’re looking for support with:
-
Pregnancy-related symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, constipation or reflux
-
Nutrition and nutrient status during pregnancy
-
Sleep, stress, or emotional wellbeing
-
Preparing your body for each trimester and postpartum
-
Acupuncture to support pregnancy and natural labour processes
Care is designed to work alongside your existing prenatal or midwifery care.
How I Work
Whole-Person, Individualized Care
Pregnancy care is never one-size-fits-all. Support is tailored to your unique physiology, health history, and stage of pregnancy.
Naturopathic care is designed to work alongside your prenatal provider, not replace them. Care may complement OB/GYN or midwifery care.
Grounded in Safety & Evidence
Recommendations are pregnancy-appropriate, evidence-informed, and guided by clinical experience and careful assessment.
Support focuses on nutrition, lifestyle, supplementation when appropriate, and gentle therapies that fit into daily life.
Do you replace my OB/GYN or midwife?
No. Naturopathic care is supportive and complementary. You should continue regular prenatal care with your primary pregnancy provider.
Do you offer acupuncture during pregnancy?
Yes. Acupuncture is a well-researched, gentle therapy that may be used during pregnancy when appropriate.
It may support common pregnancy-related concerns such as stress, nausea, sleep disturbances, and pain.
Do you offer acupuncture to support labour preparation or induction?
Yes. Acupuncture may be used in late pregnancy to support labour preparation and, when appropriate, to encourage the body’s natural labour processes. This is always discussed on an individual basis and coordinated with your primary prenatal provider.
