Dr. Jennifer Hendry-Lynn ND
In her practice, Dr. Jen has a focus in digestive health, as well as women’s health/children’s health (perinatal/postnatal care, fertility, and hormones imbalances). She has a strong clinical background in autoimmune diseases, weight management, allergies and skin disorders, which all have strong roots to your digestive health. In line with the core beliefs of Naturopathic Medicine, her treatments provide individualized treatment plans for all her patients, while treating the root cause of disease.
Originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, Dr. Jennifer Hendry-Lynn ND graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with First Class Honours from Brock University. While attending Brock University she was an active member of the MedPlus Program, which is a four-year non-credit concurrent program for students with a passion for health care. In the program, Dr. Jen gained exposure to a variety of different professions in the health care field. In addition, she volunteered at the Niagara Children’s Centre (previously the Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre) School, working within the classrooms to aid children with both communication and/or physical disabilities.
Throughout University, Dr. Jen had some digestive health issues that the conventional medical system could not help. She turned to a local Naturopathic Doctor to look for answers to solve her health concerns. With her Naturopathic Doctor, they diligently worked to find the root cause of disease. After making a number of lifestyle changes, she was on a new journey towards health and career path.
After University, Dr. Jen decided to pursue a career in Naturopathic Medicine to help others like herself find the root cause of disease and achieve wellness. She attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario, and four years later graduated with Honours as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.
The four-year intensive post-university professional program focused on biomedical sciences, clinical sciences, and naturopathic therapeutics, with over 3,000 hours of classroom training. In addition, the program also included more than 1,200 hours of clinical experience. Dr. Jen completed her clinical internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic in North York for 12 months; during that time she was also selected to be a Naturopathic intern at the L.A.M.P. Community Centre (a Naturopathic outreach clinic) for 4 months. After completing 8 years of post-secondary education, Dr. Jennifer Hendry-Lynn ND is a proficient primary health care provider practicing a combination of contemporary and alternative medicines.
She is fully licensed with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She is also an active member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
Dr Jen works with a team of practitioners at ReAlign Health in Cambridge. She has also received the Cambridge Times Reader’s Choice awards for ‘Best Naturopath’ and ‘Best Naturopathic Clinic’ since 2011.
She lives with her family in Cambridge and is a wife and mom to her two children, her dog Oscar, and her cat Peppa. She enjoys cooking healthy and nutritious meals, being active, and spending time with her family.
